Hi everyone!

It’s the summer season once again and time to get the tournaments under way. As per the discussions at the AGM, we will be kicking off with a Lightening chess evening which will then be followed by a more leisurely Summer Tournament where club members wishing to take part will be divided up into mixed ability teams that will then do battle against each other for the coveted title….

I propose that we have the Lightening evening on 7^th June, with the first round of the Summer Tournament starting the week after.

Can interested players please let me know if you would like to take part in one or both events. I will then draw up teams for the Summer Tournament etc. This is obviously not necessary for the Lightening Chess evening, where people turning up on the night will be paired up with opponents Swiss Style.
