There are opportunities for social as well as more serious chess

About the Club

The club meets every Tuesday at the Venture House, Avenue Farm Industrial Estate, Birmingham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 0HR from 19.30 onwards.

The club welcomes both serious minded chess enthusiasts and beginners looking to improve their chess. There are many opportunities for competitive play against other teams in Warwickshire and also nationally at County level, and friendly games against other members.

We have around 20 active club members that range in ability, experience and age. The club plays in the Leamington and District Chess League and various tournaments in Warwickshire. We organise a summer tournament with the opportunity to have some fun games and improve your chess throughout the whole year.

The club hosts a pre-season social evening every year held on the last Thursday in August in which we arrange friendly tournament against neighboring clubs and provide a buffet on the night.
