I have provisionally booked Saturday 23rd August as the date for the Stratford Chess Club All-comers challenge. I hope that this suites the majority of members wishing to take part in the event.

The Council require the club to comply with the Councils various policies, including, obtaining public liability insurance of £5 million plus and paying a booking fee of £30 plus VAT.

I have since received a couple of estimates for the insurance the lowest being £77.

If the club is largely in favour of running the event I will complete the necessary paper work. Personally, I think that we should run the event but I would like to hear feed-back from the club members.
